The History of Le Clos
Four bays, one story.
Le Clos des Dames is a grand outbuilding built in 1754, just beside the château of Neuville-les-Dames. Its history is inseparable from that of the town and its heritage.
For many years, it was here that the young ladies of Saxony were raised, within walls of stone and quiet meant to instil discipline and grace. Today, these walls steeped in memory welcome guests in search of serenity.
The building is composed of four bays. The staircases of all four are listed as historic monuments, a testament to the care invested in their construction and their architectural worth.
It is in the second bay that the guest apartment now stands. You reach it by the period staircase, sleep beneath ancient beams, and catch, through a window, the commanding silhouette of the neighbouring château.
